N I M A’s Debut Music Video for Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ Takes Fans on an Epic Journey to Wilson’s Promontory
"As my first music video project, I was scared. I definitely had doubts as to how I'm going to do this. However while doing it everything came together extremely well and things were just working. Turned out to be so much better than what I was expecting"
It was a dramatic entrance by N I M A into the world of music videos with his revolutionary project for Eminem’s “Lose Yourself,” which has captured the imagination of viewers with its gorgeous visuals and compelling narrative. The journey to create this stunning music video was nothing short of epic, as N I M A and his dedicated team embarked on a five-hour drive from Melbourne to the meticulously chosen filming location of Wilson’s Promontory National Park.
The picturesque setting provided a dramatic backdrop for the video, with the “Squeaky Beach” living up to its name in an unexpectedly literal way. The unique sound of the beach’s sands added an otherworldly element to the shoot. The team faced a grueling one-hour hike, hauling all their equipment up rugged trails and climbing rocks to capture the majestic shots of N I M A standing triumphantly on top of the craggy peaks, with a breathtaking view of the water stretching out below.
The filming process was fraught with challenges, including a particularly tense moment when the drone used to capture aerial footage got stuck in a tree. The team’s quick thinking and persistence saved the day, allowing them to recover the drone and continue their shoot. The contrast between N I M A’s striking black and white outfits—selected to enhance the dramatic effect of the footage—further elevated the visual impact of the video, both on the rocky heights and the serene beach. The result is a massive success, with the music video already amassing over 60,000 views on YouTube. This debut project not only highlights N I M A’s artistic vision but also sets a high bar for future creative endeavors in his burgeoning career.
